distance from dock to town on Baltic cruise

Recommended Posts

I did the Baltics on the Song of Flower, but I seem to recall that the larger ships were docked where we were in those ports. In Helsinki, it's a short walk to the heart of town. I seem to recall that Talinn was a bit of a longer walk, but still quite easy. There's a couple of different spots where RSSC ships might dock in St. Petersburg, one a good bit clsoer to things than the other. But you'll still need to get transportation in some form to see the major sights. St. Petersburg is a big city.

Helsinki - you're right there, an easy walk to the heart of town.

Talinn - easily walkable.

St. Petersburg - I'm not sure where you'll be docked, but when I was there 3 years ago on the Masdaam, it was a $5 cab ride to customs just along the pier! There was a shuttle, but it did not seem to run very often. There were quite a few cabs from the ship going in to passport control, and after passing through you had to find another cab to go into town. You are much better off arranging for a driver to meet you at passport, although they cannot get to the ship.

Have a great time -- SP is a great city.
