multi segment airfare for Hawaii cruise

Just booked the Rapsody for 07 Hawaii and the cruise starts in Enesenada (San Diego) and Ends in HNL. I do not live close to a major airport. Atlanta is 5 hours Orlando is 7. RCCI says I can get ATL for $787 or I can fly out of my home for $1000. This would require a 6 hour drive to get to the airport in a rental car and a 6 hour drive back after a 15 hour flight. What would you do?

Delta has a flight out of Panama city (pfn) with connection in Atlanta

What dates are you travelling?

Do you mean you are 6 hrs from Panama city or Atlanta?

For the extra $200. I would take the flight from your town rather than rent a car and drive.

 

If the cruise line can get you from PFN to/from the cruise you may want to take it.

 

You may want to go a day early just incase of any delays etc...

I live in Panama City air fare is always expensive but when doing a long flight it would be nice not to have to drive home 5 hours from Atlanta.

The $426 difference for 2 people wouldn't be enough to convince me to rent a car and drive that much when facing such long flights. I'd pay the extra to fly to and from my home city. Also look into how much the flights are if you book them yourself.
