Car rental closest to Port Everglades

We might to interested in renting a van post cruise. Where would the closest rental office be. We don't want to go all the way to the airport. We will be staying at Bahia Mar Beach Resort post cruise.

I've rented a car for pick-up at Thrifty on Miami Rd., right outside the port gates. I am returning it to the airport with no drop-off charges. They also have a shuttle to/from the port to the Miami Rd office - not sure if it's free or a small charge.

All the way to the airport is less then 10 minutes away. The FLL Rental Car Center houses a dozen rental car companies doing business at FLL right on-site, under one roof, opposite terminal 1.

As redtop stated Thrifty has a satellite location at the entrance to the port and Budget has a location on 17th Street in the Quay shopping center.
