RevNeal Posted July 14, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2004 Vic, Do you realize that the Z (The Zaandam ... NOT the Zuiderdam -- the Zuiderdam is the Zui, not the Z) will be in San Digeo on Sept 30th, the day that the Statendam departs for Hawaii?? :) If you go on that Hawaii cruise we could always say "hi" before you board the Statendam! :D
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2004 :) We also got that e-mail. Wish we could take that cruise. We are already booked for the Statendam for 21 days when she returns from that Hawaiian run. :)
Rare habenicd Posted July 14, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2004 My wife, parents and in-laws (all Mariners) have already booked and paid for this cruise in Cat. B mini-suites. I see the terms say new bookings only. The trip must not be sold out. I'll call my TA and ask her to check into a credit back anyway. No harm in asking. Thanks sail7seas. LoveLifeAtSea Posted July 14, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 14, 2004 I have ALWAYS wanted to take this cruise! I wish I could pull it off! And, what a great birthday present to myself!!! I love the number of days at sea and visiting Hawaii this way. Thanks for sharing, Sail. :)
ron46936 Posted July 14, 2004 #7 Share Posted July 14, 2004 Too bad the fair is restricted to only a few states, not including mine. Just for curiosity I checked Orbitz for prices for non-Mariners for that cruise. It's the same as mentioned above.
sail7seas Posted July 14, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted July 14, 2004 ron....... Do I understand you correctly that anyone from any state, Mariner or not, can book that cruise at the rates quoted in HAL's e-mail?
ron46936 Posted July 14, 2004 #9 Share Posted July 14, 2004 No. The rate is state specific. I first put in the ZIP where I live and got a much higher rate. After re-reading I put in a ZIP from Michigan which is one of the states mentioned and they came back with the rate mentioned in the e-mail. I didn't put in any past cruiser information. Also anyone who has cruised any of the Carnival Group of cruise lines qualifies as a past cruiser on all lines in the group.
