Times Prince Posted October 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2006 We are looking at a Trafalgar river cruise from Amsterdam to the Swiss border in May. It is the start of the season, but the length of the cruise (9 days) fits us well. I don't see anything on the board about this line - does anyone have any experience with this cruise / itinerary? Rare steamboats Posted October 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2006 Times Prince, I just checked their website and it´s saying they are using the "River Ambassador" which is a river cruise ship operated by Uniworld. So obviously Trafalgar is not a river cruise company but only offering Uniworld cruise. You will find a lot of postings about Uniworld on this board. steamboats
H2Otstr Posted October 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2006 We are scheduled for that tour on May 5, 2007. Leave Amsterdam and end up in Lucerne. Castes along the Rhine. Trafalgar purchased Uniworld, but the cruise is actually through Uniworld.

Good news (for us) is that our son is getting married in Holland in July. So we'll look to see what is available then.
rtd8450 Posted November 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 7, 2006 We did the "European Jewels" Amsterdam to Budapest in August via Trafalgar/Uniworld and had a WONDERFUL time. We even used the Trafalgar air portion, and although we spent a LOT of time (4-hours over, and two+ on the way home) at Heathrow, the experienced SOLD us on the "river" experience. Stateroom size is compact, but very comfortable with LOTs of storage, meals were great, and the crew was better!!!
