Long Bay Beach

Depends on which Long Bay Beach you want to go to. Long Bay East is near the airport. You'll find it deserted most week days, there are no facilities of any kind but the beach is a very pretty, crescent shape and the water is usually calm.

Long Bay West is on the opposite end of Tortola on the North shore. The beach is long and straight with more wave action. I have never swam there but I hear it is somewhat rocky underwater. The largest resort on Tortola is located here and there is a restaurant and bar at the resort. There is also another eatery on the west end of the beach that may or may not be open, I seem to remember it was called Rudy's. I've not been in thre either as it wasn't open anytime we were near it.

Taxi cost for either one of these is probably in the $25-30 for two people.

If you go to Webshots.com and search under my user name you will find photos of both of these beaches.
