Sarahnade Posted October 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2006 Could you please tell me which pier RCCL uses for the Serenade of the Seas, leaving out of San Juan. Thank you.
Corby44 Posted October 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2006 Pan-American pier. Not the pier near old San Juan.
Rala Posted October 25, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2006 Yep! Corby is right. Just got our docs for our Nov. 25 cruise and it states Pan American pier. Can't wait!!
Ocean Boy Posted October 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2006 It is unfortunate that they do, in fact, use the Pan American pier. It is nowhere near as convenient as being to step off the ship and walk into Old San Juan to do some visiting. A taxi will cost about $10.00 plus tip each way from the pier into OSJ and back. I still think it would be great if they ran a water shuttle from the pier to OSJ but I am sure the taxi drivers like things just the way they are. texancruzer Posted October 25, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 25, 2006 I didnt really think it was that inconvenient.... especially since the ship begins and ends its cruise from here (not just in for the day). But then we did stay 3 days/ 2 nights precruise and didnt try to check-in and get off the same day to see some sights..... but that is very doable if you get in early enough. It is just around the bend of the u shaped harbor and a very short taxi ride to old San Juan.....
Ocean Boy Posted October 25, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 25, 2006 I didn't say it was hard to do. I said it was nowhere near as convenient as being able to step off the ship and be where you want to be.
