where's a good place to buy wine in Auckland before I get on the ship. I will be staying one night precruise in town. thanks

where's a good place to buy wine in Auckland

 

Very handy.Opposite the wharf where your ship will be berthed is the Downtown Shopping Centre,where you can buy just about anything you would want,and it has a wine shop,Also about 2/3 blocks along the road,past the Ferry Buildings,is a large and very new Foodtown Supermarket which also have a great selection in its wine section.Foodtown is handy to stock up on snacks and cans of soft drinks (soda/pop) you may want for your cabin.

Also I noticed yesterday, there is a wine shop at Auckland airport so when you leave the plane, before you pick up your luggage, you could have a look. They had all the good brands, including Australian wine as well as N.Z.

Hi - We did quite a few winery tours when we were in NZ. They make terrific wine in NZ.

 

When we got to the airport, we found the wine to be even cheaper than at the wineries. We found some excellent prices.

 

Bought 6 bottles which lasted our entire cruise. Yummy.
