Evilmumrah Posted November 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2006 We are going on a cruise with several other people (7 cabins in all) and its like herding cats. Three of us have filled out our Funpasses but I'm not sure about the others. Is it a requirement or just a suggestion? Thanks.

It's best that they fill out their funpass prior, saves precious time at embarkation, plus all the important info will be printed on your docs. truecruiser Posted November 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2006 when i cruised shortly after 9/11 my TA told me it was mandatory from homeland security. but, i don't think it is. i've cruised every year since then, and while i always complete it, i'm sure i've seen other passengers at check-in which haven't. carnival site doesn't even say it's required. i think it's suggested. but if your friends can take a minute to do it, their better off to be safe than sorry. joepeka Posted November 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2006 It is not a requirement but as Donna stated, it does save time at check-in. Those that don't complete it online will just take longer to check in... and probably make those in line behind them wonder "why didn't they do the Fun Pass ahead of time?" :D Also, it is not necessary to bring a printed copy of the completed Fun Pass to checkin - the information is already online and the printed form won't be needed. truecruiser Posted November 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 7, 2006 actually, if you do it b/4 your docs are issued, it's stated right in the docs.
cherylandtk Posted November 7, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 7, 2006 The only benefit I see is if you have people checking in at different times. If they have the Funpass, they don't need to wait for whomever else has the actual tickets to arrive, they can go ahead and check in with just the Funpass and their ID/Citizenship docs.
