Buffets

Is anyone out there sick of or just don't like buffet style food? I worked at a buffet place in college and can not bring myself to eat at one since. What was leftover from Monday went into Tuesday, Tuesday into Wednesday and so on. Leftover bacon and sausage were alway used creatively. I went so far as to ask the manager if the food was even safe after sitting out so long, reused and reused all the time. I would think that the waste from the buffet and the overloading of plates would be enough to eat into profits.

you will always notice on RCCL that last's night main dinner is the main ingredient in the next days creative lunch in the Windjammer!

Let's put it in perspective....either pay less for our cruise and eat left overs or pay more. I for one go for eating the left overs. Besides, left overs taste better the next day anyway!

Leftovers do taste good, recycled food can be a different story!

 

What I noticed on the Jewell in May is the waste from the overloading of plates. I would think that and the food from the buffets that eventually has to be thrown would eat into the profits. Do you notice that not many buffet style eateries exist like they did a decade ago. That should be an idication that perhaps they are not all the profitable.
