cands Posted November 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2006 Statendam is in Sydney today. This is the first visit of her summer season in Australia and New Zealand. It's only 14 days until we board:) . Check out the web-cam links. It's a beautiful day on Sydney Harbour. Old As Dirt Mom Posted November 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2006 Thanks for the links, Steve, although I think I only saw the bow of Statendam. It is a beautiful day down there in Sydney, though! Lovely blue skies and sparkling water:) We hope to be there about two years from now on Volendam, when she takes over the Auckland-Sydney-Auckland run from Statendam in 2008. Steve. http://www.therocks.com/dyncontent.cfm?menuid=610 http://www.canon.com.au/misc/webcam_live.html Hi, Just a heads-up on both of the web cams. They are ones you can control yourselves. Just click on the 'start control' button. (You may have to wait to get control of the camera). Then you can zoom in and out and control up and down and left and right for 1 or 2 minutes. So you can get a view of the whole ship, or zoom in on people standing on deck or on their verandahs. It's great fun - enjoy.:) Steve.
ozland Posted November 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2006 Steve: A big thanks from here, too. I was born and raised in Sydney. Now I can check the webcams periodically when I get homesick! :)
Old As Dirt Mom Posted November 10, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2006 Thanks, Lisa and Steve; I think I'm going to have to play with the webcams a little 'til I get the hang of it. Thanks for explaining how they work. What a beautiful city you live in, Steve! Have a wonderful cruise in two weeks!:) Karin
