Water taxi/bus in Ft Lauderdale

Hi. We're going to be in Ft Lauderdale a few days before our ship sails. Is the water taxi safe after dark? (We will be traveling with an elderly aunt who doesn't move too fast!!!!!) Also, any recommendations for restaurants via the water bus?

Thank you!!

Absolutely, not only is the water taxi safe after dark it is one of the most beautiful sites in town, the shoreline lights glittering on the water as you glide pass the homes of the rich and famous, the mega yachts that pass by, the party boats celebrating a wedding.

Restaurants via the water taxi, Stop #3 for Shulas, stop #6 for Grille 66 at the Hyatt, and stop #11 for Las Olas restaurants. ;)

We are flying into FLL on Saturday, but won't likely get to the hotel until almost 11. We are staying at the Grande Hotel & Yacht Club, which is supposedly right on the water taxi route. How late does the water taxi run? Are there decent restaurants that will serve dinner that late? Also, any suggestions for someplace to grab brunch on Sunday morning?

Thanks!

The pilots (?) on the water taxi are very good about helping the partially physically challenged out of the boat; in is easy, but out, if tide is out, can be almost a three foot step out of the boat to the dock. Not to worry, there are two guys who will hoist you up.

I was able to print out a schedule of the Water Bus - Operated by Water Taxi by going to either watertaxi.com. or info@watertaxi.com

All Day Water Bus Pass is $10.00 - unlimited rides for one passenger.

Good luck. We too plan to do this on our trip to Ft. Lauderdale next April.

Thanks for all of the information regarding this Bequia.:)
