Nevertoolate Posted November 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2006 Yangtze river cruise in April - what to wear - on and off the boat? Skirts, dresses, pants, shorts? I don't want to offend by not being properly attired by Chinese standards. Thx.
nothome Posted November 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2006 I went on Viking last year, and dress ashore was very casual, shorts, jeans, whatever.
Rare Hlitner Posted November 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2006 I recall looking towards the shore while on the Yantzee and watching some locals playing in the Yantzee totally nude. You are not going to offend anyone by dressing for the weather, which means shorts are fine. You can trust me that no matter what you wear you will appear to be a tourist to any of the Chinese (smile). You will have a great time and see many fascinating things on the river. Nevertoolate Posted November 22, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted November 22, 2006 Thanks. Message came through loud and clear - not to worry. So, shan't worry about clothes.
