going from a balcony to inside cabin

You have to balance you situation, I cruised with some friends in May that splurged on a suite, we have cruised three times this year for the same price, was the suite nice - of course it was, but our three cruises were definitely nicer than their one....

We are headed to Alaska next, I have heard that you really need a balcony, but we will probably have an inside room, across from family with a balcony, compromises have to made in order for us to squeeze this in because we don't want that to be our only cruise.

My wife and I just returned from our 9th cruise. We started out inside on our first cruise then made our way to a balcony room. We LOVED THE BALCONY, (actually thought we could not cruise without one)! On our last cruise, we went on a "last minute special" (we live in Florida) and were not sure if going on an older ship (Sensation) and a inside room would let us down. We were VERY pleased! I guess we had forgot how little time we spent in our room. The balcony was nice, but not necessary for us to have a GREAT time.

I am sure you will have a fantastic cruise whichever way you go.
