Ft Lauderdale - port question

Are there any shops within walking distance, or actually in the port area, where one may purchase basic drug items like Listerine, etc?

Thanks

Best bet is to take a taxi to the port and ask the driver to stop somewhere on the way. Once your inside the security area there really isn't anything.

Port Everglades is a large secured port. Within the security boundaries their are no shops. On the perimeter outside of the secured zone there's a plethora of shops to pick up those last minute items.

If your traveling from the airport have you cab driver take you to the Harbor Shops shopping center off of 17th Street(3 minutes from FLL). Within the Harbor shops is a Publix Supermarket, Total Wine & Liquors (the Home Depot of liquor stores) and a couple dozen other shoppes and restaurants.

After shopping, the cab driver will proceed to the Eisenhower Boulevard entrance to the port (less then a minute from the Harbor Shops). This is a quick and easy entrance to the secure port zone that's less congested and has faster access to the port then the Eller Drive entrance.

From the airport to the shops, shopping, and then to the ship can all be accomplished in under 30 minutes easily. ;)
