Car Rental at Tampa Port?

We have about 7 hours to burn before our flight. Can we rent a car in Tampa right at the port and return it to the airport? If anyone has done this, what was the cost? Also any suggestions for a day activity for my family which include 2 boys (8, 10)? Thanks.

The aquarium is located across from the pier. Shopping is right there also- grab something to eat as there are also eateries.

 

At the terminal is people who will hold your luggage. (for a fee of course)

 

DOnt hurry off the ship-- grab a nice breakfast in the dining room instead of the buffet (where EVERYone will be) be one of the last people off.
