tomc Posted December 2, 2006 #28 Share Posted December 2, 2006 April 11, 2007 I will be boarding in the morning. Bing-bong the Cruise Director rings. At trips, please be looking; Shorex is booking; Make sure you're at the tenders on time. I'd like to change my evening table; One guy is just a perfect jerk. He knows every swear word, And some I have not heard. It's him or me; I've got no choice. If I am eating, don't take the plate. If girls are winking, let me take the bait. For I will be boarding in the morning, Hoo-Hah! The magic day is here. Bread pudding for us, No cares to fuss us, I think I'll book another cruise. ekerr19 Posted December 2, 2006 #30 Share Posted December 2, 2006 Several people poked fun at re-using Listerine (or mouthwash bottles in general) not just Sea King... I was one of them. Truly, I did not think my comment was all that offensive when I posted it, I was thinking more along the lines of "surely you jest" because I just cannot get a visual of this. I stand by my statement that is seems like a waste of time - but because my time is often so limited perhaps my priorities on how I spend it are just a bit different than those how have more of it available. I apologize if it was hurtful to some - that wasn't my intention. Please don't blame Sea King for all the comments. :)

kryos Posted December 2, 2006 #33 Share Posted December 2, 2006 IRecently, I've noticed a disturbing trend .. at least disturbing to me Criticisms by posters against other posters that "border on personal attack" Anytime one posts to an internet message board, you're gonna get some personal attacks. Can't be helped. At least CC is a monitored board. There are other boards out there where the attacks can be absolutely viscious because there is no one monitoring what is posted there. I've been involved in some real free-for-alls on the rec.skydiving message board in years past. I think one needs to develop a thick skin when posting on the internet. If someone attacks you on a personal basis, just ignore it. That's what I do. I simply don't let stuff like that bother me. I laugh and move on to the next post. Of course, if something written is really disturbing, you can always click on the little triangle and bring it to the attention of the board's monitors ... and if they agree the post is offensive, they will remove it. Blue skies ... --rita

Rare Copper10-8 Posted December 2, 2006 #35 Share Posted December 2, 2006 There once was a man from Nantucket .... :D My typical day at Fool Moon begins when I rise (about noon) I write three hundred posts and kill several ghosts and by nightfall I'm nuts as a loon A Mexican gent from Cancun Was well known to be nuts as a loon. When amigos asked, “Why?” To each one he’d reply, “Por favor, ‘cause I chat at Fool Moon.”
