Cruise line league tables.

Being a bit bored waiting for my next cruise I thought I wonder which is the top cruise line according to Cruise Critic message boards and the numbers of threads. So here is the list as at 1st Dec. 2006.

1. RCI - 1344
   
2. Carnival - 1132
   
3. Princess - 785
   
4. NCL - 509
   
5. Celebrity - 442
   
6. HAL - 381
   
7. Cunard - 74
   
8. Oceania - 46
   
9. Regent - 44
   
10. Crystal - 40

Clearly RCI is the winner by quite a margin, but of course that could be because there is more to complain about.

I wonder if CC could list messages by category. ;)

Is the number of THREADS really important? Isn't the number of posts on the thread what really counts? I mean, if the board is being run well, the number of threads should be condensed so that there isn't a lot of redundency...

And what about taking into consideration the number of ships the line has, or the number of passengers it can accommodate?

Interesting statistics. Actually the top rated cruise lines tend to carry less passenger's so by definition they will have less threads and less posters.
