Any Value in Mykonos Tour?

Going in Ap[ril with Emerald Princess's maiden voyage. No ideas about Mykonos, what would we miss if we don't take some tour?:confused:

Mykonos is basically an island for beach lovers. The ship will either dock near Mykonos Town (Khora) about a 10 min walk or short bus transfer to the charming little town, or, in some cases, you would tender directly into town if the small docking area is full. Mykonos town is the primary attraction on the island, and you can walk from one end of the town to the other in about 15-20min, although you sure can spend a lot of time shopping or having a snack/drink in one of the cafes or restaurants. I should add that there are some very excellent jewelry shops in town. If you want to go to one of the beaches you can either get a taxi, or just take the local bus line (the buses to the most popular beach leave from the small bus station near the windmills). Its hard to imagine any justification for taking a tour here, but than there are some that can find a reason to take any tour including one in their own home town (smile).

The only tour worth taking is the excursion to Delos if you like ancient ruins. Like Hank said Mykonos is basically beaches and bars with some shopping thrown in.
