Restaurant for family in Miami

My family and I will be staying in the Doral area afor one night in January. We are looking for a good local restaurant that is family-friendly. We don't like to go to chains that we have at home. We will have a rental car, so we can drive anywhere that is a reasonable distance from Doral. Thanks for any advice!

Take the JFK Causeway to Collins Avenue in Miami Beach and head north to The Rascal House. It is on 172nd and Collins. Excellent Miami institution and very family friendly. Depending upon time of year, plan on a line out the door. Fantastic food.
