! St Paul de Vence on a Sunday !

Recommended Posts

Who has been? Any recommendations?

?? Shopping ??

Is everything open on a Sunday?

How far from port?

Been there several times.Lots of shopping.Plenty of places to eat.It thrives on tourists and all is open on Sunday.Best to take a cab or private driver from the port as it is away from Nice.It is a walled town and you can just wander around.Never been from a cruise ship.Do a search on this board using St.paul de Vence as there is quite a bit of infromation on how to get there using the bus and from various ports as well.

Actually, the best day of the week to go to St Paul de Vence is on Sundays. Everything is open and its a popular destination for many French on Sundays. If you happen to get there pretty early in the morning (by 10) and the weather is good, you might be treated to a treat. Just outside the walls near the main entrance (gate) there is a cafe where the local men will often gather on Sunday mornings for a friendly game of Boules. Its fun to stop and have a cup of cafe au lait and watch them play.
