chrismch Posted December 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2006 Last year on Princess I purchased a reusable underwater camera that was good to 100ft. It was a great deal because they also printed the first roll. I was wondering if Celebrity sells them also or if I need to buy one before my trip in 2 wks? chessbriar Posted December 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2006 If you bought one before, I'd bring it again just in case. Just because one cruise lines has a good idea, it doesn't mean they all do. It's best to be safe than disappointed.
lvz2cruz Posted December 11, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2006 I've tried several reusable underwater cameras and found they all develop cracks and leak after several uses. Now I stick with the disposables and they do a decent job. I don't know where you are cruising to, but the ABC Stores in Hawaii sell reusable ones for under $20 and would probably get you through the trip. osiebosie Posted December 11, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2006 Unless it was one of those high-tech pro cameras, I'd be wary of a reusable one. I always buy the one-time cameras. Each person got one, and our first photo was a self-portrait taken underwater, so we'd know who's pics were who's. I don't buy the cameras anymore, since we have so many underwater pics. Same with sunrises and sunsets. And clouds. And mountains. And snow... Have fun cruising, Shay
ric4003 Posted December 11, 2006 #5 Share Posted December 11, 2006 I bought a Pentax Optio WP digital camera when they first came out and love it. The new versions appear to be even better. I use mine on every cruise for all of my photos - underwater or not. http://www.h20camera.com/home
