Suggestions for day in Miami

Wife and I will be in Miami the day before our cruise. Does anyone have any suggestions for things to do in the area?

Vizcaya mansion is in the Cocunut Grove area, not far from cruise port.

Depends how much time you have! Coconut Grove is a lovely place to spend an evening. If you are staying closer to port, Bayside Marketplace has nice restaurants and you can dine "al fresco" right next to a dock where all the big yachts tie up! Interesting to see how young some of these folks are, in those big, big boats!

There are more things to see, but it really depends on if you have a car, or just want to "hoof it"!

The wife & I like to go to South Beach and just hang out and people watch and enjoy great food. It's a great start for a cruise. Only minutes from downtown. Have fun!
