car rental one way fees in galveston

Hey fellow cruisers is it possible to get the car rental companies to waive the one way fees from the Houston airport to Galveston ? :(

response from the other thread: not trying to come across in a rude way, but why would they waive the fee? It seems like it's there for the purpose because of the needs that you have. With one way rentals they'd be losing their inventory and would somehow have to restock the available product, resulting in the need for the fee.

Although I drive there and park my car I have seen Carnival folks at the Big Airport and they run a shuttle service have you looked in to this ???
