QM2 Queens room & G32

The placement of the 2 rooms is unfortunate. Walking from the stately Queens Room into G32 (one of the most unpleasant rooms on the ship) is quite jarring. The decor is out of touch with most of the rest of the ship.

Hi bobby1119

Now that's a matter of personal taste! G32 is one of my favorite rooms, a two deck high nightclub and, like Todd English, very differently fitted out compared with the faux art deco of some of the other public rooms. I spent almost every (late) evening there and enjoyed every minute. If I wished to nominate a "most unpleasant" or "jarring" room it would be the winter garden. I have no problem with the postion of G32 either, to me it seems a natural progression to move, at the end of the day, to the end of the ship! I spent time in the Queens Room and then moved further aft as the evening went on. I often thought that it was better than most nightclubs I've been to on land and far better than many I've been in at sea. At least (because of the size of the QM2) it does not have to double up as a lounge during the day and then really never work as either.

Season's greetings

We went to the Black & White Ball in the Queen's Room, and then into G32 to see what it was like. I loved the three circular windows upstairs in G32 where you can look into the Queen's Room. It was like looking from one world into another. Rock n roll vs. classic dance band. I took several photos through that window. I saw two different worlds, and a very interesting juxtaposition next door to each other.

i believe there is a method or message to the 2 rooms being next to each other!! G-32 with all the roughlooking appointments is the number of the drydock or pier where the qm2 was built!! so from this rough and tumble heavy construction area came this magnificent ship and so the very elegant queens room.. get it got it good!!!

Sorry, but my opinion is that the disco is an afterthought. The room is too thin. Sight lines poor. Bar too far away fromt the tables and dance floor. Second floor was only for neckers late at night on the 2 trips I have onboard so far. Room is way too far from casino and the rest of the ship. I came across some old drunk crashed out in the alleyway under the dining room at the end of one of my evenings out. They need to do better in a refit soon.

Off with their heads !!
