Guest Varites0225 Posted December 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2006 I am looking for a hotel for Feb 24th in Ft Lauderdale to stay before a cruise. Earlier this year I got some good advice on booking on Hotwire and got the Intercontinental for a steel. Any advice out there on Lauderdale hotels thru Hotwire? montekat Posted December 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2006 You can find plenty of info under this forum, as well as advice on Priceline, etc. We got the Sheraton Yankee Clipper for 2/7/07 precruise on Priceline. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=

Cruisewebber Posted December 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2006 We used valuetrips.com and stayed at Amerisuites and it worked out perfect - good rate @ $69.00/night. The motel was nothing "special", but clean, quiet.....decent continental breakfast. Free shuttle from the airport....... We came in a day early so we rented a van from Gold Coast rental and that was perfect....they even drove us to the port at no charge.
iancal Posted December 26, 2006 #5 Share Posted December 26, 2006 On our Dec. precruise, we stayed at the Sheraton Yankee Trader for two nights. In the past we have stayed on 17th but never on the beach itself. The Trader was very good, it was a $70. Priceline hotel. Room was great, service was great. We asked for, and rec'd, an ocean view room. Post cruise was the Sheraton Airport. Very nice room (recently renovated), could not have been better and it had shuttle service to the airport. We got this on Hotwire for $71. We do not use Priceline for the Airport zone because we do not want to end up at the Wyndham. We had originally booked both stays at Amerisuites but cancelled after reading reviews on various sites. Glad we did, because we were very pleased with both of these hotels.
