luvsunandfun Posted July 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2004 Three years ago on the Paradise, we saw a couple of movies, but it wasn't pay-per-view. They were just showing. They were movies that were currently at the theatres. Have they added ppv on the newer ships?
BottledRed Posted July 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2004 I'd like to second this question. My fiancee loves watching the PPV when we're at a hotel, so he'll want to watch any in-room PPV.
Krooze Family Posted July 21, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted July 21, 2004 I just read in the FAQs on Carnival's website that there are Pay Per View Movies. I guess I am assuming that they still have the movies that change daily and play constantly throughout the day, but maybe someone else can answer that. They never had Pay Per View Movies on my previous cruises. I think we might take advantage of this late at night, but I want to know how much to budget.
GoinCruisin Posted July 21, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2004 I guess it depends on what ship you are on. I don't remember there being PPV movies on the Sensation (although I wouldn't know, I know we had a bed and a shower :D Really didn't even know we had a tv, LOL)... serene56 Posted July 21, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 21, 2004 lol- I remember ppv movies on the Sensation although we never got any. Pay per view movies are 9.99 charged to your sign and sail card when you order it off the tv. They have a wide asst of movies to chose from in different categories--family/kids/action/drama/etc.etc available 24 hours a day. Also cruiselines show 3 movies each day on a rotating basis and it changes every day. (these are free)

1stimekruiser Posted July 21, 2004 #8 Share Posted July 21, 2004 The PPV movies are a little pricey, but that should be expected. There were some fairly recent ones. I remember there being quite a bit to choose from.

Krooze Family Posted October 4, 2004 Author #14 Share Posted October 4, 2004 Do you order it right through the TV? Or must you call somewhere? Is it available 24 hours a day?
serene56 Posted October 4, 2004 #15 Share Posted October 4, 2004 Order it right off the tv. It will be billed to your master card holder of the cabin. If you dont want kids ordering you can always block that station.
Ms Belvedere Posted October 4, 2004 #16 Share Posted October 4, 2004 The pay-for-view movies cost 8.99 each. The family titles were: Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen Shrek 2 Harry Potter and Prisoner of... New York Minute Home on the Range Scooby Doo 2 Agent Cody Banks 2 Teacher's Pet. They had other groups of movies available too, these are just the Family Titles. HTH!
