TB21984 Posted January 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2007 We are cruising in March, group of 8. What options are availalbe in HNL for transfers to the pier? Are there any private compainies that provide transportation? How much should we expect for a taxi?
CruisinMK Posted January 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2007 It's only about 6 miles, maybe 20 min and $20 per taxi. Maybe $30 tho if you got hit by a bad rush hour. :)
foursum Posted January 3, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2007 And of course we would recommend arriving a day early so flite delays don't ruin your vacation. Re: posting at Christmas regarging the storm in Denver.
TB21984 Posted January 5, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted January 5, 2007 We are arriving a day early. Looking for hotel (prefer cheap since we will be arriving about 3:30 am OUR time - 7 hour difference). Will probably go right to sleep and wake up very early. Considering going over to PH in the early am before boarding ship. Any recommendations?
thunderfox Posted January 5, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2007 We're also getting in a day early, and like you, we have a big group (7 adults). I hear that there are shuttle companies that routinely go from Waikiki hotels to the Pier for something like 10-13.00 per person - seems like a cab might be cheaper...or the same. I'm not sure what we're going to do yet -maybe some feedback here will help us make a decision too!

bookbabe Posted January 17, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2007 We flew in the day before, and booked NCL's pre-cruise hotel option...Marriott Waikiki Beach...and I'm really glad we did. The hotel was really nice, and very convenient to the beach. The restaurants there are also great...I highly recommend Restaurant Run, the sushi place. :D What was best, though, was the ability to check in for the cruise that day, and cut out some lines on embarkation day. They take your luggage from the hotel and deliver it right to your cabin, and you take a shuttle over that afternoon without any encumbrances...which was a blessing for two extremely jet-lagged and foggy-minded travelers... darthwolf Posted January 17, 2007 #9 Share Posted January 17, 2007 found this on another thread: http://www.robertshawaii.com/airport-shuttle/schedule-fees.php $9 one way. prob. planning to go this route since it's only 2 people. So $18 total instead of a cab which looks like the consences on the board is around $25 inc. tip. Goes to waikiki, but stops at the pier when ships are in.
