ravenchic Posted January 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2007 This is our first cruise with the e-docs and without the "normal" cruise documents. We have left from Miami before on RCCL and we know how hectic the baggage loading area is. Needless to say, we are somewhat skeptical about the porters being able to get us the correct luggage tags to insure our luggage gets to our room. Obviously, they must have a good system or I would have seen complaints about this on these boards, but I still have my doubts. How have others found this to be working? Cuizer2 Posted January 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2007 In August 2004 I was on the Navigator. I had no luggage tags. Had to get get the tags at the dock, fill them out and put them on the luggage. All the luggage arrived at my cabin.
cb at sea Posted January 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2007 To ensure that tags get on your bags--YOU do it! Don't just hand the bags to the porters and tell them your cabin #! Get the tags from them, write your cabin # and then attach the tags to your bags--THEN give them to the porter! (Along with a small tip!!)
CruiseKeeper Posted January 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2007 We had the porter fill in the tags - but we made sure he did it right! Our bags made it to our cabin while we were still doing the WJ lunch.
