39august Posted January 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2007 We usually book flights out of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale around 11:30 AM and have never had the slightest problem. Even had a flight at 10:50 once. Is 11:50 too early for Newark from Port Liberty? This will be our first time from that port.
Sue L Posted January 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2007 It is about a 15-20 minute drive from the port to Newark. If you do the early departure from the ship you should have no problems. Make sure you go to the purser's desk at the beginning of the cruise and make sure you get the tags for the earliest departure. Sue

A couple of things to watch for.... when we got off the ship there, the cab/shuttle/limo lines to the right were a real mess. We tried to get around it, but couldn't and ended up in a shuttle that sat for 30 minutes waiting for more passengers while others were leaving. Have something prebooked if possible so they can wait for you at the front where people are getting out of limos as they get on the ship.
