We're going on the Conquest in 28 days and staying at the Tremont House. You will have to pay $10 the first night for valet, but they let you park at their sister hotel, the Galvez, for free for the week you're gone. They have a shuttle to and from the Galvez. The trolley run to and from the hotel and port, so if the shuttle is crowded, I plan on taking it.

The Harbor House @ Pier 21 will also let you park your car during the cruise...for free. Book through http://www.galveston.com

The Hotel says that the only way to get the free parking is to book through the internet. If you book over the phone....parking is not free.

The Tremont appears to have a minimum stay restriction (2 nights)...which you may need to find a way to get around.

We have stayed @ the Galvez. It is very nice...and the parking is free & covered (parking garage style).

Some free parking @ hotels.....is not covered and anybody can walk around where your car is parked. We saw a cruise passenger vehicle that had been broken in to... at one of these parking lots. Not something fun to return to.

Also, just a little bit of FYI.....

After our cruise was over, a hotel shuttle....from a hotel that we did not stay @....took us to our hotel (Galvez). The hotels are all near each other....and he didn't mind making an extra stop for us....because he of course gets a tip. This is how we were able to see the vandalized car. He made a stop before bringing us to the Galvez.

Book early. The Harbor House...and Tremont seem to sell out easily. The are not very big. Galvez is very big.

We've stayed at the Holiday Inn at the Beach before tho not for a cruise. I saw the sign there and asked. They have a free shuttle at the hotel and will park your car in their lot behind the hotel. Very clean, friendly staff. You must book one night at the hotel to use this service. In another post I read that they give you the #'s needed to call to be picked up. Hope this helps.
