Shipboard credit

All we do is take travellers checks and give them to the purser once we are onboard. We usually give them $500 and then add more to it as needed. If you didn't want to do that then you can likely send yourself a shipboard credit as a gift.

Rest assured any funds not used during the trip will be refunded. If this question is about cash funds I suggest you use a credit card as your checkout will be much easier, not having to go to the pursers desk on your last morning in the crowd. Either way funds will be returned to you. Happy sailing!:)

you can call Princess at the 1-800 number and tell the person you want to purchase onbaord credits.

Ijust did that last week. got casino credits (so not to pay the 3% and not carry that cash withme while traveling) and placed another few hundred for onbaord spending. It was not a problem-- I got a fax confirming my purchase.

Another Idea is to send yourself casino credits. We did this on our last cruise, not for this purpose but just to have extra money for the casino, shore excursions and shopping. You can cash the vouchers in the casino, then either spend the cash or put it on your shipboard account if you wish. Very simple.

We had friends that gambled quite a bit and each time they hit a jackpot of up to $1000 they immediately took it to the pursers desk and put it towards their shipboard account. They didn't want to return home to a big CC bill.

Trying to find out if it is possible to pre pay for shipboard credit. I would like to put say $500 up front on my account before getting on the ship.

Does anyone know if you can do this and if Princess refunds any money you don't use or if the put it toward your next cruise?

Thanks

Princess does refund at the end of cruise for any credit in your account, as for pre paying before cruise not sure, as soon as you embark you can , call princess direct 1-800-princess
