Midnight Sun Express menus

I am wondering about the menus on the MSE (Princess) - I went to the Alaska RR web site to look at theirs, just from curiosity...Are they the same for the Princess cars or does Princess have their own food service? Anyone out there that can fill me in?

I heard the prices were really high, and the menus I looked at were not low-priced by any means but did not seem as bad as say the amusement parks where a $1 items costs $5 or more...so I was pleasantly surprised I guess...

Thanks in advance for any info!

I can't help you with the prices because our meals on the train were included as part of our group perks...The food both breakfast and especially dinner was outstanding. It is not the same menu as the Alaskan RR... They had a Prime rib that melted in your mouth...appetizers, soups etc...worth a splurge!

I was on the Midnight Sun Express this past week - the food is delicious!

Just keep in mind that you are on a train. Pouring syrup on my pancakes was interesting. Even better when you tried to eat!

I found a menu which is identical to the one I ordered off of. From the dinner menu, I had the sockeye salmon - another yummy item!

We just got back from a Princess cruise tour and totally enjoyed the train. We had lunch one day and dinner the next. I have to say that lunch was somewhat disappointing, but dinner was fabulous. I had prime rib. I can't remember everything that was on the menu, but they have a good variety with several fish dishes, as I recall. The scenery is so spectacular however, that the meals take a back seat. We even saw two moose (mooses?) fairly close to Fairbanks. Hope you have a great trip!
