mfp_iowa Posted January 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2007 We're first time cruisers on Celebrity on 2/11 (fly in late on 2/9 and staying at Amerisuites for two nights). When we return on 2/18, our plane doesn't leave until 3:30 p.m. What time will we be off the ship, and what do we do until we go to the airport? We won't have a car, so we'll have luggage to deal with. I noticed Celebrity has some post-cruise options in Fort Lauderdale (everglades tour or hard rock casino), so we'd have transportation, a place for our luggage and something to do, but it seems kind of pricey. Of course, going right to the airport and sitting there for hours doesn't sound like fun either! Are there any other options? Thanks for your help. Rare FionaMG Posted January 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2007 The trip may be a bit pricey, but it's worth it! If you book the trip disembarkation is easier and quicker as you'll be amongst the first called. Otherwise, you get to hang around the ship waiting to get off and face a massive queue for immigration by which time the chances are there will be no time to do anything other than head straight for the airport (to hang about some more). We've done both and I'd recommend the excursion any day. (We did the Everglades one and it was very enjoyable.) Just make sure it gets you to the airport in time for check-in (it'll tell you in the description the latest flight time allowed). Hope this helps. Fiona.
