randrea Posted January 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2007 I'm going on Radiance out of Seward on July 20. Our departure time is 9 PM. Can anyone tell me approximately what time they let you board the ship? Thanks, Andrea
Blue Darter Posted January 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2007 When we sailed on the Vision (July '05) out of Seward, we were able to board around noon. Andy
Yukon Posted January 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2007 Noonish seems to be the usual time - though we got on the Radiance once at 11.
NancyIL Posted January 24, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2007 When are you arriving in Anchorage? If it's the day before the cruise, one option would be to take the 6:45 a.m. train to Seward ($65/pp) that arrives at 11:05 a.m., then take an 11:30-5:30 Kenai Fjords cruise before boarding your ship. randrea Posted January 26, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Thanks for everyone for the info. I've never left at 9PM either. I can't believe that we can board that early. I have to check my flight times again. I might want to come in a day early since we can board so early. I don't want to miss a second on that ship...haha!!! Thanks again, Andrea

Thanks again, Andrea It's a good idea to arrive the day before a cruise, especially when you're flying so far. As I mentioned above - since you're doing a one-way cruise without a land trip beforehand - you might want to consider a Kenai Fjords cruise in Seward before you board your ship. A ship is a ship - but how often do you go to Alaska?
