MTJtraveller Posted January 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Today I am 90 days out from my cruise on the Royal Princess out of Barcelona. It says that Lotus Spa and Shore Excursions are not yet available. Should I sit patiently and wait? Perhaps waiting till day 89 to call Princess? Is it imperative to prebook? I really would like to get spa reservations on sea days (I blew it on my first cruise on Windspirit - not knowing to BOOK QUICKLY)... Anyone with advice would be greatly appreciated! cherylandtk Posted January 26, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Just wait, if they don't show up for you then they don't show up for anyone else, either. But do keep checking back so you can get what you want as soon as it is available.

Check back daily -- ours suddenly appeared at about 70 days out. Enjoy your cruise. MJ
nets33 Posted January 26, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2007 The shore excursions didn't show up until about 75 days out on my cruise on the Star in November. The spa showed up about 60 days prior. Just keep on checking back.
Pam in CA Posted January 26, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 26, 2007 As the others have said, be patient and keep on checking. The Royal is a new ship joining the fleet with new itineraries so it might take a bit longer to get them set up and available.
barbarah33 Posted January 26, 2007 #6 Share Posted January 26, 2007 I did the same thing for the Crown in November and at 90 days nothing was there. At 70 days the spa showed up but still no excursions. I called Princess and they said they would get them out as soon as they had them figured out. (I was on her repositioning cruise so they need to make sure all the contracts are organized and signed, etc.) I think they finally appeared around day 55 or so. As everyone else has said, just keep checking because if you can't see them then nobody else can either so you aren't missing out on the 'prime' times. Yes, the spa appointments for sea days do fill up fast.
CABCruiser Posted January 27, 2007 #7 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I had the same frustration and called when the excursions did not appear within 70 days. The gal said she didn't know why, and she called the main excursion office (in Florida I think) and voila! They activated them. They were very apologetic and the problem was solved. lthomas Posted January 27, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 27, 2007 Must be different on each ship. Our July excursions to Alaska are already available to book. I did ours about a week or so ago.

That was like what happened on my last cruise. The CSR was clueless, just said "keep checking on a weekly basis." Maybe after Princess got tons of calls from my fellow passengers-to-be, the techs there got on the ball and fix the problem.
