Travel Agent vs. Direct

Hi,

looking at finalizing a trip on the Seadream II for the spring and just wondering how most people book?

I secured my last trip through direct correspondance via email...

I am planning on booking two consecutive cruises, (GTY), and understand there is a 10% saving on the second one, but are there any other discounts / benefits to be gained by dealing with an agent?

Thanks for any assistance,

Dimitri

P.S. also wondering if there any repeat cruiser benefits, (other than the Captains party and the on ship discount bookings).

Hi Dimitri,

I have booked our two SeaDream cruises directly with SD over the phone. I did all of my research on line and then called their 800 number.

Since you are booking back-to-back I think I would call SD directly.

Hope that helps!

I have done it both ways - but last time I booked, I booked through a Virtuoso agency (a consortium of agencies )and got a $200 spa credit. I didn't find any difference in price at all between booking direct and using an agent.
