Breakfast on Balcony?

Please could anyone tell me if there is an extra charge for room service on Princess?

e.g. if we ordered breakfast to eat on the balcony, would there be an extra cost? And if so, do you know what it would be?

We have only cruised on Costa before, and they did not charge extra for this.

Thanks

There is no charge for room service, although you should tip for the delivery. Yes, you can have it set up on the balcony. There is a different extra fee item available on Princess called the Ultimate Balcony Breakfast, but this is not plain ol' room service..

No charge for room service as mentioned, except the ultimate balcony breakfast. BUT, the room service items are very limited and more like an extended Continental Breakfast. So, depending on what you are used to ordering, this could make a huge difference in your balcony breakfast.

Actually last month on Grand we got TWO Ultimate Balcony Breakfasts! We had ordered one, and when we got aboard found our Travel Agency had sent us one too! They are very elegant and a lot of fun.

Basically, the server brings in a white table cloth and white napkins, then a split of champagne in an ice bucket, with two fluted glasses. Then he brings your juice (we ordered cranberry and orange juice and made ourselves champagne sunrises), a half melon filled with berries, a basket of pastries and bagels, a plate of crab quiche with lump crabmeat on the side, and a plate of smoked salmon with the goodies like onion and sour cream. However, he simply brings it all at once and then leaves -- it is not a matter of the butler staying around to serve you a course at a time. So how long you want to linger depends on you. But a nice relaxing hour for the breakfast would be very ample. Total cost is $25 for two people.

As noted above, the regular continental breakfast from room service is complimentary. There is a card you can leave on your door the night before or you can call down for it.

Have a GREAT cruise!
