I guess it depends what you are used to.

From Arizona ?......quite cool really

From Alaska ?...............Way too hot

It can reach 90 f in August and we found walking thru Ephesus in that heat exhausting....but hey we are Brits !!!!!!!!!

I've been told and have read(many times) it gets kinda hot during the summer months.

We were there in 06 during the last week of May and into the first ten days of June & it was perfect (mid 80's) in Spain,France,Italy,Turkey & Greek Isle's.

We usually travel the southern climes during the "shoulder" months on either side of the summer peaks, but this summer we sailed on the Black Sea cruise in mid-July with a group of friends. Unreasonably and unseasonably warm. Hot, dry, arid, and need to slather on the sunscreen or risk first-degree burns. The intense sun's reflection will get under your chin and beneath your ears, and even under your collar at the neckline. And if you wear sandals, it'll burn the tops of your feet. Other than that, the weather was fine.
