My information came from the Oceania Club Ambassador. I’m currently on Marina and the Sept 13 Allura date and Oct 4 date were part of their future cruise presentation. It was not clear if the dates were booking dates or just itinerary release.

Does anyone know the schedule for when each ship will add Starlink?

Consider Regent, too. It's the lux sister company to Oceania and no dress up nights.

Carnival Corp. announced that internet services of its brands will be upgraded over the coming months. I hope Oceania/NCL will do the same. There are times when a simple email cannot be uploaded or sent. It is one area where I think Oceania falls short.

Onboard Riviera now. Our 26 day Marina cruise, May6-June 1, 2024, was cancelled. We were told it’s because the ship will be in dry dock for the re-inspiration.

We are currently onboard Riviera in a standard balcony stateroom. The new bath design is a game changer. It feels spacious and luxurious. The stateroom re-inspiration is lovely. With regards to the public rooms, it doesn't feel like there's been a major change. In part, because they've kept all of the art work. The furnishing mostly retain there design but with a more neutral color palette. It is the staterooms where the transformation is most apparent. All in all, the ship feels and looks fantastic.

For those interested in using Google Voice at sea, I've found that it works when when making a call through my laptop but not through my iphone. There is a delay but it is free!

Currently on Riviera. Tried using Google Voice to make a phone call. The app does not connect to the ship's WiFi. Anyone have success using the app on Oceania? The internet manager did not have any answers. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Coming from Princess and Celebrity, you will likely be very pleased with Oceania. I cruised Princess and Holland America in the past. However, for the past the 10 years I've only cruised on Oceania. Once you try it it will be difficult to go back. You'll enjoy fine cuisine, more space, no art auctions or photographers and no nickel and diming. Part of the wonderful ambiance you'll experience will be your fellow passengers. They are mostly well traveled, interesting and unpretentious.

Both Regent and Seabourn seem to offer very similar experiences. I've cruised on Regent, but it was several years back. I'm curious as to what entices folks to both lines.

I've read on the cruise critic pages of Seaborn, Silver Sea, Regent and Oceania that the cuisine is not as good as it was pre pandemic. This could be a result of supply chain issues and/or staffing. What have others experienced?

We've cruised many times on Oceania and one time one Regent, but it was many years back, pre NCL. In your opinion, is the cuisine on Regent a step up from Oceania?

For me, more important than CD are the GM and executive chef on board. Those individuals can influence the experience on a particular ship.
