Sue L Posted February 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2007 When I was on a Carnival cruise a couple of years ago we signed up for the Carnival Seamiles card right on the ship and in return we recieved several 50% off coupons, including one for the spa on any one service, plus we were able to put this card on our account so we recieved the double points for onboard charges. Since we used our points for a RCCL cruise we have decided to discontinue it and close the account. We are currently making RCCL our cruiseline of choice for the foreseeable future. I am going on the Brilliance next month and was wondering if I can sign up for the RCCL card onboard and is there any incentive like the % coupons to do so or should I do it beforehand to get the double points? Any info would be appreciated. Sue
cb at sea Posted February 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2007 I'm sure you can sign up for it now--before you get to the ship. Just contact RCI and ask!
elleluv Posted February 15, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2007 I haven't heard of them ever having incentives for signing up for the card onboard. If it were me, I'd apply now so that you can use it for your onboard purchases and get the double points.
uksimonusa Posted February 15, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2007 You can sign up onboard, and if approved, use your new card to pay you seapass bill. Any purchases made on the ship, get double points, if approved, go to the casino, and draw as much cash as you can to the limit on your new card. There is no handling fee for this, when you get home use the cash to pay you bill, no handling charge, no interest and double points. Can't be bad:)
