Splinter Posted February 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2007 There is a Rite Aid drug store on 4th and C which is about 8 blocks from there, or you can go Long's at Horton Plaza (on the Broadway side) or the the Ralph's supermarket on 3rd and Market. S.S. Cruisers Posted February 20, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2007 I believe there is a Rite Aid, kitty cornered, one block west to Best Western Bayside. On either Columbia or India and Ash. Doors don't face on Ash, they face on which ever side street its on. I was shocked and walked past it about 3 times before I found it! We've stayed at Best Western numerous times and never knew it was there! Very convienent.

We are going on the Spirits 8 day cruise. They told me today that they do have a shuttle to take us to the port. Sorry, I don't know if you can leave your car as long as 14 days. I made sure before booking that we could leave ours for 8 days.
S.S. Cruisers Posted February 24, 2007 #7 Share Posted February 24, 2007 Ok, second try for this post. We left our vehicle there for our 14 day trip to Hawaii. They charged is $5 per extra day, which was $35 and a bargain for San Diego. And yes they have a shuttle to take and pick you up at the pier. duck tune Posted March 3, 2007 #9 Share Posted March 3, 2007 Did any of you find a particularly nice restaurant nearby that you would recommend? DH and I are staying there pre and post cruise in couple of weeks and would like to know what is nearby. Thanks
S.S. Cruisers Posted March 3, 2007 #10 Share Posted March 3, 2007 We ate at the BW restaurant. Food was very good. We have also walked to Little Italy. Numerous restaurants down there. Lots of little pubs close by. I think the hotel has a city map with restaurants listed. Ask at the front desk they will have ideas also.

morriscats Posted March 4, 2007 #12 Share Posted March 4, 2007 Don't know if this an option for you but we did not want to drive back to NoCal after the cruise so we stayed their post cruise as well as precruise - so we got 14 days parking free. Crusin Karen Posted March 4, 2007 #13 Share Posted March 4, 2007 Anthonys is right next to the cruise terminal. Good food. They have porch dining as well as indoor. The crab cakes are to die for! They serve them with a delicious lemon dill sauce. Take a shuttle to the Gaslight District and wander around. It is LOADED with very nice restaurants and most have menus posted outside. Rite Aid is a few blocks away as is a 7-ll as another poster mentioned. BTW, they both sell liquor. Rite Aid has a very good selection. Have a great trip!
