mrdood Posted February 21, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2007 We rececently saw a newspaper article claiming that the new Carnival Freedom would feature freestyle dining, did anyone else see that? And if anyone is going soon, could they let the rest of us know the real scoop? Thanks ...more likely the newspaper screwed it up... and Carnival would certainly not use the name "Freestyle", they would come up with something unique to tham like - "Fun Time Dining"
ItaliaAmerCruzLady Posted February 23, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted February 23, 2007 ok, now your making me think I am nuts, My friend asked the TA who asked Carnival, and they said they were not informed as of yet. I have my friend forwarding me the article so I can print it up here. I believe it was in the Connecticut Post.
Cuizer2 Posted February 23, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2007 I believe "Freestyle" is trademarked by NCL. If so, Carnival would not use that term. Next, Carnival's ships are not set up for "Freestyle" kind of dining. The newer NCL ships have ten restaurants.
fozzy Posted February 23, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2007 Hi, I wonder if this is what you're talking about. Carnival has what's called "Total Choice Dining". What that means is you have the choice of the main dining, buffet, grill, pizza, and specialty restaurants.
ItaliaAmerCruzLady Posted February 25, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted February 25, 2007 I just found the article , it was from the Connecticut Post page G4, Sunday 1/28/07. Says "Total Choice" allows fine or casual meals on your own schedule. When Carnival was questioned, they claimed they were not yet advised of this new feature.
