Just looking for a place to have dinner when in FLL in another week. Has anyone eaten here in the past?

Lots of fun; used to be my favorite restaurant as a kid. Not as good as it used to be, and a bit overpriced, but going there is a blast. Warning: there might be a long wait.

They did not in the past, unless you had a very large party, but I haven't been there in 5+ years.

We were there this past Saturday, we arrived around 6 and we're seated right away. When we left around 8pm there was a line to get in. Well worth the wait, the crabs are excellent!

We are meeting pre cruise with a bunch of roll call people the evening before. We were told they did not take reservations and that if we came before 7:30 and after 9 we should be ok.

Thanks for all of the advice. After careful consideration, we've decided to fore-go the crabs and have dinner at Bimini Boatyard. :)

Hmmm, Bimini's kind of a touristy restaurant (not that there's anything wrong with that), the Rustic Inn around since 1955, is a local favorite with consistantly fresh seafood and shell fish.

 

Does this place serve steamed blue crabs, or some other type?

Heck, living here is like being a tourist all the time. Looks like the weather will be warming up for you,low 80's this weekend. It's been chilly here lately, high 60's-low 70's. Have a great cruise.
