spcl4cs_gal Posted March 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2007 Just looking for a place to have dinner when in FLL in another week. Has anyone eaten here in the past?

Denn33 Posted March 3, 2007 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2007 Lots of fun; used to be my favorite restaurant as a kid. Not as good as it used to be, and a bit overpriced, but going there is a blast. Warning: there might be a long wait.

Denn33 Posted March 5, 2007 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2007 They did not in the past, unless you had a very large party, but I haven't been there in 5+ years.
Bequia Posted March 5, 2007 #8 Share Posted March 5, 2007 We were there this past Saturday, we arrived around 6 and we're seated right away. When we left around 8pm there was a line to get in. Well worth the wait, the crabs are excellent!
Cathy p Posted March 5, 2007 #9 Share Posted March 5, 2007 We are meeting pre cruise with a bunch of roll call people the evening before. We were told they did not take reservations and that if we came before 7:30 and after 9 we should be ok.
spcl4cs_gal Posted March 5, 2007 Author #10 Share Posted March 5, 2007 Thanks for all of the advice. After careful consideration, we've decided to fore-go the crabs and have dinner at Bimini Boatyard. :)

Bequia Posted March 5, 2007 #12 Share Posted March 5, 2007 Thanks for all of the advice. After careful consideration, we've decided to fore-go the crabs and have dinner at Bimini Boatyard. :) Hmmm, Bimini's kind of a touristy restaurant (not that there's anything wrong with that), the Rustic Inn around since 1955, is a local favorite with consistantly fresh seafood and shell fish. Does this place serve steamed blue crabs, or some other type? Thanks. LL Yes, their signature crab dish is the Blue Crab Here's the restaurant link with menus: http://www.rusticinn.com/menus_deals.html

Bequia Posted March 7, 2007 #14 Share Posted March 7, 2007 A tourist...that would be me on Saturday. :D Heck, living here is like being a tourist all the time. Looks like the weather will be warming up for you,low 80's this weekend. It's been chilly here lately, high 60's-low 70's. Have a great cruise.
