Noise in the AOS dining room?

I was wondering how much noise there is in the dining room on AOS. I assume there are about 1,000-1,300 people there at each dining time and was wondering if it was hard to hold a conversation at the table without speaking loudly.

Not a problem at all. We had great dinner conversation. No shouting necessary.

Are there any advantages to being seated in one level over another?

There is no advantage as far as sound goes, in being on any particular level of the dining room. As long as we are not stuck in a back corner somewhere, and have nice tablemates, we are happy.

We were seated on the bottom level and specifically asked our waiter if the noise grew at you went up. He assured us the noise level on all three levels was the same - non-existant. :)
