Really Need Help Room Selection.

Hi, looking to book March 2008 on the Emerald 10 nite caribbean. I

understand she is sister ship of Crown, so those of you with experience

maybe can help us. I wanted mini-suite on Emerald deck because it is

covered, however the only room available is E729 which is very close to

the back of the ship, we have always had mid-ship, is this location

going to be a problem for us. I tried to get E721 which was not as far back

as 729. TA says 729 was the only room showing available.

If we don't take the 729 then I just get a standard room with balacony.

I did so want the larger mini-suite but would not go on the Dolphin deck.

Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have TA putting a hold on 729 but I need to get back to him in a

couple of days.

I would keep that room. From what I have read a minisuite on the Emerald deck for those who like privacy are great. Personally, I feel more movement in the front of the ship than the aft portion. Did you take a look what is below your area to see what noise might be involved?

We always book those Emerald Minis, on the Grand class ships, if available. I don't think you will be unhappy with the aft location. The movement back there isn't bad and is certainly less than the forward cabins. There may be some vibration from the thrusters as you are pulling in or leaving port. The only thing I would mention is that mini is directly over the Club Fusion but the noise should be on the port side as that's where the stage is. I don't think you will hear anything on the Starboard side. I would book that mini!

We LOVE the aft...no matter what ship...the aft balconies are the best, but I would love to have the cabin you do on the Emerald. We don't get seasick, and always book aft...we like to walk and have the quiet back there. We are on the Emerald on her transatlantic in Oct...we are not lucky enough to have enough money to book a balcony but have a guaranteed outside and I would be overjoyed if it was in the aft. (On the Grand on 4/21 we have C734...we keep calling trying to get moved back!!!)

Hi Ann:

First of all, E729 is a great location :D and the difference between 721

and 729 as far as distance is like a few feet, so that shouldn't even

be a consideration. Aft is aft. All those aft minis on Emerald deck

are contained within such a little area. Also, we've had cabins

in this area a lot. You can expect maybe a little more vibration, but

not much. We've had E733, E731 [last year] and loved E731. We

never had ANY noise from Club Fusion.

For our upcoming cruise on the Caribbean Princess in September, we

had booked E729 and then E731 [the farthest one] became available

and we snagged it again! We love the aft.

Also, the minis on Emerald are identical in size to the minis on Dolphin.

E731 has the extra-big balcony.
