Only been off the Carnival Conquest for 3 weeks and already planning our next cruise on the Carnival Miracle on March 6 2008 going to the Western Carribbean. Anyone have any tips on the Miracle or the destinations- Colon Panama,Limon Costa Rica and Belize?

Went to Belize on NCL Dream, and it was one of my favorite ports. We went cave tubing for 1/2 day, and shopping the rest of the time. We got some beautiful carved wood, and the locals are sooooooooo nice. Right off the boat is a shady area...wee bit scary! Past that, the beauty of the country really shines. Others on the boat raved about snorkle trips to an island off the coast. Don't be scared by all the negative posts. Have a blast!!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Cruise addicts:D

It won't stop, it's like a drug, you have to keep booking more & more & more, you will start boring your friends with your cruise stories, buying clothes for a cruise you have not booked yet, always searching the internet for that lowest price, you will have an entire wall dedicated to your shot glass collection from every port, you will be able to name off every froo froo drink of the day,   will it ever end? I hope not!

If you enjoy walking around the ports, forget Belize. Sorry to say it is depressing

Belize was by far the highlight of our cruise! Take and excursion or the water taxi and go to Caye Caulker, rent a golf cart and spend your day there. It is beautiful :)

Not depressing AT ALL. As one previous poster stated- don't be frightened by negative post and have a great cruise!

We also loved Belize. We went Cave Tubing. It was a lovely drive there. When we book that next cruise that goes there again we will go to Caye Caulker. We had great BBQ at the river where we went Cave Tubing and drank the local beer. The people were kind and freindly.

The city is poor, as is any of the third world countries. That can be depressing if you choose to look at it that way. I choose not to be depressed. I enjoy seeing other cultures. You will certainly appreciate your life here.
