mattsydnjoshsmom Posted March 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2007 Hubby and I are booked on Splendour for 4/9, 5 day western caribbean. My question is.....I just saw on the roll call thread that the price has been dropped to $430 for a balcony room? I paid that(actually, I think it was 439pp) for an inside stateroom......while I'm not really all that picky and will be SOOOOO extremely happy to just "GET OUT THERE!!!" I'm wondering if they would upgrade me because of the price drop?? Is it even worth checking into? I'm a VERY laidback....nonconfrontational person so I'm not willing to actually FIGHT anybody or be bitchy about it! lol But it sure would be nice to have that balcony room for the same price I'm paying for my plain ole inside stateroom on deck 6? massfriends Posted March 14, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2007 If you booked direct with RCCL call them and ask. If you used a TA you have to call them. You have nothing to lose and if you don't ask you won't get. Good Luck! HAPPY CRUISING! :)

Coralc Posted March 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2007 You would have to call Travelocity.....which you should do immediately. :)
montgomeryfamily Posted March 14, 2007 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2007 I left you a similar message on the roll call. To clarify, the price drop that I posted about includes balcony cabins at $499 per person, plus port and taxes. The $430 price I mentioned in the roll call is the military discount rate for a balcony cabin that includes taxes and port--it is a great price for a five day cruise in a balcony stateroom and the reason I was wanting to book the cruise, if I could find another lady with which to share, as none of my family and friends can go during that time. You can't get that price unless you qualify for the RCCL military discount, which is only active duty, active reserve/guard, and retired military. RCCL doesn't extend to veterans like Carnival.
