h20luvr Posted March 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2007 Has anyone traveled from San Diego to San Pedro with Amtrak? Does the train stop near cruise terminal Berths 91-93 at the World Cruise Center in San Pedro? Thanks, Jay
Splinter Posted March 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2007 No, there is no easy way to do this. You would have to take Amtrak all the way to downtown LA, then take the bus back to San Pedro. The Amtrak tracks go through eastern Orange County (Irvine, Fullerton, etc.) and not anyplace near San Pedro.
skandls Posted March 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2007 Also Amtrak is often late so if you are on a close time frame find another way to San Pedro.
JLC@SD Posted March 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2007 Has anyone traveled from San Diego to San Pedro with Amtrak? Does the train stop near cruise terminal Berths 91-93 at the World Cruise Center in San Pedro? Thanks, Jay the train travels inland after San Juan Capistrano.....and it takes an hour to get from downtown SD to SJC......a long trip which is relatively expensive. It is faster to drive.
